What We Do
The Barton Institute’s mission is to develop or enhance projects that demonstrably improve life for people in Colorado facing difficult challenges in their communities.
Pillars of Our Work
Our work is mapped across 4 major pillars which uniquely position the Barton Institute in convening civic leadership, community partners and resources across sectors to find long-lasting solutions.
The Barton Institute creates interdisciplinary initiatives focused on social enterprise. Through collaborative events, trainings and fellowships, we convene students and community members from a wide range of disciplines to invest their energy and expertise in expanding the efforts of social enterprises. >>>
We foster, guide, and direct innovative cross-sector community partnerships that address complex social issues such as affordable housing, social determinants of health, and economic development. We know that top-down efforts rarely work and the most successful social programs listen carefully to and learn from the people most impacted. >>>
